"It's all about the thrill of the hunt at this secondhand shop. It has everything
from housewares to vinyl records to clothing...We found a crystal
decanter for $15 and a funky gold belt for $4..."

"...the kind of place where you can find a lamp with a pintsize leather golf
bag as its base ($22) alongside a Carmen Marc Valvo dress that looks
plucked from the pages of Vogue for just $30..."

How to Donate Items to the Shop

**********Please click HERE to see a special notice on donations of children's clothing, toys, furniture, etc.**********

We Welcome Your Donations!

  • You save on your taxes by deducting the fair value of your donations--we are a non-profit organization and we provide you with a receipt for your records.
  • You provide others with high-quality items they may not otherwise be able to afford.
  • You help protect the environment -- re-use of clothes and household goods saves valuable landfill space, preserves natural resources, and helps slow global warming.  For example, every new article of clothing manufactured overseas, shipped to the U.S., and transported to the DC area results in the production of several pounds of carbon or other greenhouse gases.

Hours and Directions for Donations

Donation hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00 to 3:00

We are located at 7125 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda.  This is three doors south of the Montgomery County Farm Women's Co-op, between Willow St. and Leland St., on the east side of Wisconsin Ave.

For your convenience, park behind the shop and bring your donated items to the back door.  There is an above-ground county parking lot directly behind the store, on the east side of Wisconsin Ave.  It's accessible from either Willow (look for it on your right after you turn from Wisconsin) or Leland (look for it on your left).  Then look for the large red sign at the back of our building.

Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays and metered during the week.  Street parking on Wisconsin, Willow, and Leland is metered Monday through Saturday.

Click here for detailed driving directions and walking directions from Metro.  If you want your donations to benefit the shop's charities and its customers (and not stolen or ruined by exposure to the weather), please do not leave them outside the front or back doors of the shop.

Sorry--we don't have staff or vehicles available to pick up donations at your home or workplace.
