Inclement weather policy

For the safety of our volunteers and customers, in case of snow or icy roads, we either close the store or open it late based on decisions of the Montgomery County Public Schools.  When schools are closed for the day because of hazardous road conditions, we keep the shop closed.  When schools have a delayed opening because of hazardous road conditions, we open at 1:00 PM.  When necessary, we will close the store early in order to ensure a safe trip home for our volunteers and staff.  To be sure the store is open, please call us at 301-654-0063.

Location

We are located at 7125 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda.  This is three doors south of the Montgomery County Farm Women's Co-op, between Willow St. and Leland St., on the east side of Wisconsin Ave.

Parking

There is an above-ground county parking lot directly behind the store, accessible from either Willow (from which you take a right) or Leland (take a left).  Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays and metered during the week.  Street parking on Wisconsin, Willow, and Leland is metered Monday through Saturday.

Directions--Metro and Driving

Walking directions from the Metro -- We are located about four blocks south of the Bethesda Metro stop on the Red Line.  After coming up the long Metro escalator, you will go up a short escalator or set of stairs to street level, and you'll be at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue, Old Georgetown Rd., and East-West Highway.  You will be facing north, with Wisconsin Ave. to your right.  Turn to the right and walk south down Wisconsin Ave.  We are located three doors south of the Women's Farm Co-op, directly across from Eastham's Exxon station.  If you take the Metro elevator, you will be facing east as you come out at street level.  Turn to the right to walk south down Wisconsin, then follow the above directions to the shop.

Driving directions from the Beltway -- take the exit for Wisconsin Ave/Rt. 355 South.  Follow Wisconsin Ave. south for approximately two miles.  Take a left on either Willow Street (just past Modell's Sporting Goods on the left) or Leland Street (just past the Women's Farm Co-op on the left and Eastham's Exxon on the right).

Driving directions from Silver Spring/Takoma Park -- If taking the Beltway, follow the directions above.  If taking East-West Highway, after East-West becomes one-way to the west in Bethesda, stay in one of the two left lanes.  Take a left on Wisconsin Ave (Rt. 355 South).  Take a left on either Willow Street (just past Modell's Sporting Goods on the left) or Leland Street (just past the farmers' market on the left and Eastham's Exxon on the right).  Turn into the county parking lot, which is directly behind our shop, by taking a right off of Willow or a left off of Leland.

Driving directions from DC -- Go north on Wisconsin Ave. (Rt. 355 North). The first stoplight in Bethesda is Bradley Lane/Blvd.  Go through that light and take a right at the next stoplight, which is Leland Street.  Turn left into the county parking lot, which is directly behind our shop.  If you are taking Connecticut Ave. north, take a left at Bradley Lane, which is the first stoplight north of Chevy Chase Circle.  Take Bradley Lane to Wisconsin Ave. (Rt. 355 North).  Take a right on Wisconsin Ave./355N, then a right at the first stoplight, which is Leland Street.  Turn left into the county parking lot, which is directly behind our shop.
